Hello From the Home Front
Greetings, Earthlings! Does anyone still do this, hail others upon first meeting? Or do I just nod my head and say "'Zup?" this time? Fist bump, anyone? Or has that also become passé? Gnnnn. I feel so old. Having taken a decade's hiatus from blogging, this first post feels like a bucket list fulfillment of summiting Mt. Everest's first base camp. And I'm out of shape while at it. Ok, before I completely run out of breath, let me say hello. Hello from this side of life. We've got mugs of tea, hot choco, or coffee if you fancy something warm in your belly while we're getting acquainted. I'm welcoming myself to the neighborhood. Be forewarned that when you meet me, our chats would mostly involve topics about kids (as I have one), dogs and the insanity of furry members of the family, slaying solo parenting, homeschool, and perhaps a bit of the numinous and mystical (I used to read palms as a living).
